Description
These fun 3-dimensional trees are easy to make using 2 1/2" strips and Bosal's precut Katahdin Cotton Batting.
Decorate with holiday buttons, beads or fairy lights which easily slip through the zigzag stitches.
Something a little different, makes great gifts!
If you want to learn the technique but not make a tree, you can make the Camden Bowls instead.
Sewing machine required.
Skill Level: Beginner

Supplies needed:
Christmas Trees pattern by Aunties Two
- 1 jelly roll (will make 4 trees)
- 1//2 yard for binding if you want all your trees the same or use jelly roll strips from your roll
- Thread - cotton or polyester works fine. I like to use our Glide thread (polyester) because it's stronger but our cotton variagated looks cool!
- 1 roll 2 1/4" batting by Bosal
- Needles - jeans 110/18 and microtex (sharp) 90/14
- Scissors, rotary cutter (60mm if you have one), cutting mat and ruler, Frixion heat erase pen,
- Wonder clips, straight pins
- Sewing machine with zig zag stitch
- Optional - if you have one bring it, sadly they are out of stock clover Fabric tube maker or Jelly Roll Tube maker from Gypsy Quilter. If you have made a jelly roll rug, you may have it.
- Embellishments - pattern gives you lots of ideas!
